WEE!!!! i went facial yday wit jiejie[my bro'z gf].. it'z sooooo great to have an elder bro who iz attached.. coz she paid for my facial and the products i got.. but she'll claim from my bro.. muahahahaha... all in all.. i did not pay a single cent.. xD
we went shoppin in the afternoon.. it was suppose mi be mi and jiejie onli.. but my bro came along.. it den turned out that i'm the xtra one.. wateva...BENNO LA MODE
and i went to Singapore Police Force Band 80th Anniversary Concert 2005 at nite wit husna at esplanade.. the concert was superb! the pieces they choose.. the liveliness they had in them..
the fanfare they choose was "Metamorphosis" followed by "Marching Through (From 1925)"... while the song was bein played, the emcee brought us through the history of the band.. but she was havin a hard time competin wit the band.. 3rd and 4th piece was "Estudiantina" and "Pipe Rhapsody".. the song "Pipe Rhapsody" tells us that the pipe was being used ritExz.. and they had the bagpipe and small pipe.. which was sooooo cool..
the nxt song was one of my favourite.. " Richard Rodgers in Concert".. it was accompanied by choir from SPF/ NTU CAC/ Consonance/ Vox Camerata.. it was veri nice..
followed by "Time to Take Back the Knights" and "Ethnic Rumble"... the "Ethnic Rumble" was nice.. they had players playin the 4 ethanic instrument.. they oso had dancers from the 4 races.. which brings out the multi-races spirit in singapore..
then they had Philip Sparke as they guest conductor.. ani idea who he iz?? band members: go find ur files.. we've played songs composed by him.. yeahx.. world famous composer.. cool ritExz cool ritExz..
the highlight of the concert for my dearest fren was "Me and Mrs Jones".. they had a vocalist too.. guess who.. it was none other than Taufik Batisah.. too bad they didn't allow us to take photo..
they then played "Fantasia on British Sea Songs" which was a 15min song.. long but nice... =) the last piece was "Camina Burana".. familiar to u tkband members yeahx.. outdoor memories..
after givin out the flowers and stuff.. they played "Chan Mali Chan" to end the whole thing.. with the conductors and performers dancing and singing on the stage..
they had a total of 4 condutors excludin the guest conductor.. and all 4 of them received Honours Degree from Kneller Hall, Royal Military School of Music, in the United Kingdom..all in all.. the concert was a splendid!
no one is as important as ur own family.. wen all ur frenz, boifrienz, buddies leaves u.. ur family will neva.. they are the ones who will alwaz be there for u wen all ur frenz leaves u..
